Oxfordshire County Championships

This year's County Championships was held at Marshall Milton Keynes AC Track in Buckinghamshire on the 9th and 10th of May. Saturday’s competition was held in glorious sunshine albeit with a cold northerly wind and Sunday was overcast and cold with the same northerly wind. Despite the weather variable Abingdon AC athletes produced some fabulous performances.

We now have 12 County champions across 15 events with 3 of our younger athletes creating County Championship records in the New Hurdles races, and the U16B Triple Jump, those athletes are Harry Thynne, Tiffany Cox, Luke Lorenzi, Luke Chown, Eleanor Cadwallander,  Zachary Prichard, Georgina Styer, Maddie Kingston, Taimaru Kimber-Bidot, Dominic Smith. Plus, to back up these performances a total of 21 of our athletes produced 32 PB’s in their events, so well done to Jessica Brown, Ewan Shayler, Eleanor Cadwallendar, Zachary Prichard, Maya Salina, Jeanette Ashton, Jack Lindsay, Sam Coles, Zac Coulson, Andrew Nixon-Gagg, Harry Smith, Peter Irvine, Valdimir Salina, Beatrix Bewick, Imogen Ford, Nate Glass, Charlotte Moore, Georgia Bewick, Bethany Gough, Meredith Frost and Georgia Bewick.
