Adult track training

These sessions are usually attended by adult club members and are excellent training for endurance, cross country or track events.

There is a fee for using the track at Tilsley Park. A track pass is the most economical way to pay for regular users.

Adult track

Andrew’s group is a lead into road and track running. The group is open to all adult club members, and we include the sign-up form in the weekly members’ email.

The group meets at Tilsley Park track every Thursday at 6.30 pm.

Adult track (improvers)

Led by Thornton Greenland

Thornton’s group is aimed at speed improvement for road running. The group is open to all adult club members, and we include the sign-up form in the weekly members’ email. Ellie may take some sessions in Thornton’s absence.

The group meets at Tilsley Park every Thursday at 6.45 pm.

Below is the provisional timetable for Thornton’s 2022 sessions. The sessions are subject to modification (Ellie may change the sessions she takes). At least one session may be replaced by the club championships 3000 m time trial.

Adult track and field group

Led by Andrew Caruana

Andrew holds track and field group for adults of all abilities. The group focuses on masters training for competition but is also suitable for beginners. The group is open to all adult club members, and we include the sign-up form in the weekly members’ email.

Sessions are at Tilsley Park track on Tuesdays from 6.30 pm until 7.45 pm.

The group covers short track events (up to 800m) and most field events (depending on coaching availability). There will be a strong emphasis on learning the basics of athletics events.
