Abingdon AC QuadKids Open
On Saturday 2nd May at Tilsley Park, we put on our first Club T&F open.

We chose to showcase some of the best U10’s and U12’s in the area, with a quad kid open.
The format sees each athlete compete in a 75m Sprint, long Jump, vortex throw and a 600m.

They are awarded points in each event and then the athlete’s points from each event are added together to produce a ranking list in each of the U10’s Girls and Boys and U12’s Girls and Boys.
We had 90 athletes in total and 50 of which were Abingdon AC members.

The competition started at 2pm in the Sun shine, ending at 5.30pm in light rain, but this didn’t dampen the enthusiasm and fun the athletes had.
Our club athletes featured well, with Maximus Shepherd winning the U12 Boys event overall, Full detailed results can be found via the link below:

Well done to all of the athletes that took part on the day. We are already looking to have another one before the years end.
A massive thanks goes to Sam Egerton and Stuart Watton for organisation, plus all the officials and helpers on the day (which also included some of the clubs U16 athletes). Without their help we couldn’t have put on such a successful competition.
