Track and field news 10/08/25
A busy period for some of our individual athletes at national level.
National Senior and U20 Championships, Birmingham
2 - 3 August
This is an invitation only competition and AAC saw three of our female athletes competing at national senior level.
First up was Tiffany Cox in the senior women’s 100m, which considering she broke her foot in February was an achievement on its own.
Tiffany got a SB of 12.57 in the 100m.
Next to go was Oliver Martin in the senior women’s 1500m in a time of 4.33.05, followed in the next heat by Evey Powell in 4.24.58.
Well done, ladies, it is great to see AAC vests on the TV at national level.
National Age Group U15/U17 Championships, Birmingham

First up was Harry Thynne in the U15B 300m. In his first heat he came second in a PB of 37.81
In the semi final just 3 hours later, Harry missed out on a place in the place by 0.006 of a second in a photo finish.

Maddie then returned the next day to run a 300m hurdles in a time of 48.37.
Well done to both Maddie and Harry showing the talent we have in the club in the junior age groups.
