Chiltern XC League - Round 1

Well done to all our athletes who participated in Saturday’s races in St. Albans on a dry and sunny day. We had a good turn out and strong performances particularly in the younger age groups, where we had full teams in 5 different races.  

It was great to see several recent joiners taking part and some athletes doing their first ever cross country race. What a great start to the season.

U11 girls

We had a full team of U11 girls, they all did brilliantly, including Antoinette who was doing her very first cross country!

U13

In the U13 boys Jack came a fantastic 5th overall and was 1st in Division 2. He was followed by Sam in 9th (3rd in Div 2) and Flynn in 56th (11th in Div 2) in a huge field of 96. Flynn has just recently joined the club and it was great to see him out there tackling the course with gusto. Those results put Abingdon top in Division 2.

Eleanor was our only girl in U13s and she came a fantastic 13th in a very large field (3rd in Div 2). This is Jack and Eleanor's first year in U13s so a great start to the season.

U15

Our girls' and boys' U15 teams both came 2nd; we had a large turnout of six U15 boys, including new joiner Will doing his first race for the club.

Our U17 men's team, Samuel, Peter and Josh, all finished in the top 6 in Div 2.
