Track and field news 14/09/25
Very successful for some of our individual athletes from both ends of the age groups.
National Master Championships at Derby 12 to 14 September
Headline result came from Jane Fabes W65 who took part in a World record attempt as a team member of the W65 4 x 800m relay team.
The team broke both the World Record and British record by 9 seconds finishing in 11.38.09.
Sadly, the photo finish equipment being used by the BMAF did not work properly, therefore it cannot be ratified, as a world record but will stand as a British record.
Well done, Jane, you know it is a world record, and we Know it is a world record, fantastic achievement.
