Attendance and team participation requirements
This page sets out the minimum requirements that young athletes agree to when they accept the terms and conditions of membership.
Attendance at training sessions
There is a minimum attendance requirement across young athlete groups to retain your child’s place in the following training groups.
U10 – Fundamentals Group
U12 – Foundation Group
U14 – Athlete Progression Group
U16 – Multi-Event and Sprints Group
U18 / Seniors T&F Group
As a club, we train 48 weeks a year, twice weekly. Therefore, as a guideline, your child must attend 36 sessions per year to retain their place in their allotted training group.
Team participation
Young athletes must attend a minimum number of Team/Open Competitions yearly to retain their place in a training group.
U10 Fundamentals Group– At least 2 competitions
U12 Foundation Group–6 competitions
U14 Athlete Progression Group –6 competitions
U16 Multi-Events and Sprints group 6 competitions
U18 upwards Senior track and field – 6 competitions.
Exceptions
The minimum attendance and participation requirements do not apply to the Endurance Competition Group.
Others who may be exempt from the attendance and participation requirements are:
athletes with injuries
athletes with ongoing medical issues
athletes taking exams.
The parent or athlete must notify the coach coordinator as soon as possible.

Leagues we compete in as a club
Details of fixtures will be posted via your training group. The club pays for entry costs for track and field events but not cross country.
Oxford Junior League - 3 meetings (U10 – U18)
Wessex Junior League - 4 meetings (U12 - U20)
Midland Senior League - 4 meetings (U18 – 35+ yrs old)
Oxfordshire Sportshall - 5 meetings (U10 - U16)
Oxford Cross Country League - 5 meetings (8 yrs – 35+ yrs old)
Chiltern XC League U12 - 35+ yrs old
The club pays for entry costs for AAC Team track and field events and some cost towards cross country but not open competitions.
