Roll up! Roll up! Looking for an exciting and completely different running challenge?

Then we have just the event for you. Endure 24 is, as the name suggests, a 24hr event that takes place on 13 - 14 June 2020 in Wasing Park, Reading.

After the AAC success of 2019, even the most hesitant and cautious among us had a fantastic weekend.

Woodland fairies

Starting at 12 noon on Saturday, runners take it in turns, as a relay, to complete an 8k lap of the beautiful Wasing Park. Complete with forests, midnight woodland fairies, trails, lakes, a music shack and one nasty hill climb! This relay continues for 24 hours.

Our teams

Some people run solo, some in pairs, we, however, will be aiming for teams of six to eight.  This event does have some keen competitors out for the prizes, but it has far more that are taking part just for fun. We will have at least one team that is aiming for quicker times and that means running the course every four to five hours, and another few slower-paced teams with members running every six to seven hours.

There are a lot of local clubs that take part en masse, including Eynsham, Didcot, and Hook Norton.

Camping and facilities

As a 24hr event, we will be camping overnight either Friday and Saturday or just Saturday if you prefer. The facilities at the campsite are excellent. There are plenty of portaloos and slightly posher cabins with toilets and showers, (always kept clean throughout the event).

There are also plenty of food stalls serving pizza, crepe, bacon rolls, great coffee and more. Although the stalls close overnight, the mess tent is open 24/7 for food and hot drinks.

How much?

Entry is £72 per person and payment will be required asap. This covers your camping facilities, a t-shirt and a huge bit of bling each!

How to sign up

Entries are first come first served, then followed by a reserve list. Complete our online form and make your payment within two to three days.

We need to submit entry very soon as places are filling up fast. Each time we have eight entries paid, we'll add the team in.

Reserve list

We will keep a reserve list and should you find yourself unable to join us, we'll give you the details of the next reserve AAC member so that you can arrange payment between yourselves. Once that's done, we will make the change with the event organisers.

So lets rock that woodland world with even more AAC vibe in 2020. Go Abingdon!
